Let’s work hard in the afternoon with a hearty lunch at a yakiniku restaurant!

The charm of the Yaesu, Nihonbashi, and Kyobashi area is that you can find delicious food from both Japan and abroad, and you can choose a restaurant according to your purpose and mood. GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in this area, introduces their favorite dishes in this relay series.

The YNK area is packed with many restaurants, so there are so many places to enjoy a great lunch that it’s hard to choose. Among them, I would like to introduce you to a convenient meat lunch at a yakiniku restaurant that is available on both weekdays and holidays.

The location is near Nihonbashi Takashimaya, I guess I could say it’s on the back street. This is a line of famous long-established sushi restaurants that GOKINJYO also uses.

When I go down the stairs leading from the quiet entrance to the basement, I’ll be greeted by an emblem reminiscent of that of a high-end teppanyaki restaurant.

It’s a yakiniku restaurant, but the main area is made up of private rooms separated by velvet red curtains, giving it a slightly mysterious atmosphere.

This time, I chose the “GROW specialty jubako.”

The menu said, “A wonderful marriage of salted meat and a large amount of green onions,” but to put it simply, it was a yakiniku bowl topped with a lot of green onion and salt sauce. It came with salad, soup, and a small bowl.

It also came with a small dessert! You can increase the amount of rice for free.

The meat is quite fatty, but the onion and salt work well, so I can’t help but eat more and more. It’s a hearty lunch with a slightly strong flavor that will keep me going throughout the afternoon.

It’s also attractive that we can choose not only yakiniku, but also the daily specials (it was curry on this day) and hamburger steaks. I’m indecisive so I always get lost, but that’s also a happy time.

Unfortunately, I don’t like raw meat, so I’ve never ordered it, but this restaurant serves yukhoe, and you can eat a “yukhoe bowl” from lunch. It’s irresistible for those who like it.

How about a delicious, cost-effective meat lunch on days when you want to energize your day or get fired up in the afternoon? Lunch is cash only, so don’t forget your wallet.
