The exhibition “A Journey to Meet Someone’s Hometown 02: Yamaguchi Prefecture Photography Exhibition “Photographs that Transcend Time and Remain” will be held at Tokyo Square Garden Art Gallery from Tuesday, January 14, 2025 to Friday, March 7, 2025, connecting Tokyo and its hometown.
The “Journey to Meet Someone’s Hometown” exhibition focuses on various regions and localities under the theme of “Connecting Tokyo and Hometowns. Following the first exhibition in Ishikawa Prefecture, the second exhibition will be held in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Koichi, a popular photographer who specializes in landscape photographs with people in the background and art works using Photoshop, will exhibit photographs taken with a large-format film camera between 2021 and 2022 of people and scenery in the hot spring resort town of Tawarayama Onsen in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Along with the works, episodes of interaction during the filming are also described, giving visitors a sense of the people living in Tawarayama Onsen and their thoughts and feelings.

On March 4 (Tue.) during the exhibition period, specialty products from Nagato City Tawarayama will be sold at the “Kyobashi Marche” food marché held in the through passage on the first floor of Tokyo Square Garden. In the evening of the same day, Koichi and Yoshihiko Fujinaga(representative of SD-WORLD Co., Ltd.), who is working hard to revitalize the Tawarayama area , will hold a talk show “Come to Tawarayama Onsen! will also be held (advance reservations required).
