The charm of the Yaesu-Nihonbashi/Kyobashi area is that you can choose the restaurant that best suits your purpose and mood, as well as the delicious foods from Japan and abroad. In this relay series, GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in this town, introduces their favorite menus.
I want a healthy lunch, but I also want the pleasure of choosing what I want to eat!
When you are in such a mood, I recommend PARIYA.
On the first basement floor of the new Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. building, we were able to smoothly enter the restaurant even during lunch hours.
Here is what we chose this time.
Brown rice
Avocado & Tofu Teriyaki Hamburger Steak
Mushroom and watercress salad
Shio Yakisoba
The soup of the day is a plum and grated radish soup.
The acidity and refreshing taste is gentle and relieves fatigue.
It was a delicious lunch time with plenty of fresh vegetables!

The good thing about PARIYA is that you can choose from healthy and calorie-controlled deli items, as well as those with a bit of punch and volume.
The drink selection is self-service with plenty of cups, so I would definitely visit again for lunch when I have a little more time to spare.
This time we also took out the signature shortcake. Not only does it taste great, but it looks very pretty and is a hearty and satisfying dessert.

On my way home, I looked up at Takashimaya and saw many cute elephant displays!

What a surprise! The Nihonbashi Takashimaya used to have a (real!) elephant on its rooftop. There used to be a (real!) elephant on the roof of the Nihombashi Takashimaya Department Store. An event in memory of “Taka-chan,” the elephant, is now being held.
I would love to visit this one as well.
