The charm of the Yaesu-Nihonbashi/Kyobashi area is that you can choose the restaurant that best suits your purpose and mood, as well as the delicious foods from Japan and abroad. In this relay series, GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in this town, introduces their favorite menus.
Bistro & Bar bar.C is a French bistro located in a back alley in Yaesu. The entrance is a little difficult to find, which is good because it gives the restaurant a sense of being a hideout! But once you step into the restaurant, it is quite spacious and has a mezzanine floor, making it an exciting place to eat.
The food was crisp and betrayed me in a good way when I thought it was a Western-style pub.
The assortment of appetizers has a strong French flavor. Uffu mayonnaise, carrot rapé, roast pork and white fish carpaccio. The flavors are deep and rich. First, let’s toast with beer!
The salad with a heaping portion of bacon and lyonnaise was enough to satisfy even a man’s appetite! Of course, the taste was delicious as well!
Asche Parmentier, too, look at how heaping it is. But why is it not heavy despite being cream-based? The balance of cream, meat and potatoes was too exquisite. I could have had a plate for each of us!
The sirloin of Japanese black beef is really tender. The quantity was just right. I wish I could have had more beans with it.
By the way, the all-you-can-drink service is by changing glasses. The generous service is quite generous, so be careful not to drink too much.
Last but not least, the dessert, gateau chocolat. It tasted insanely authentic and the smooth texture was unforgettable!
I heard that you can add pasta to the course, but the volume was too much for me. I was right to decline, but I wanted to try it.
I really didn’t know there was such a casual and accessible bistro in the YNK area! It’s great that it’s so easy to use for both groups and small groups.
