Korean food and beer is the right choice for a girls’ night out! “Gochu” in Nihonbashi

The charm of the Yaesu, Nihonbashi, and Kyobashi area is that you can find delicious food from both Japan and abroad, and you can choose a restaurant according to your purpose and mood. GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in this area, introduces their favorite dishes in this relay series.

Hello, my name is Nikaido! I am Nikaido, a comedian in Yaesu Nihonbashi Kyobashi, in my third year at Yoshimoto Kogyo!

Nikaido, you see, loves to travel to Korea!

I even went to Korea in the spring, summer, fall, and winter when I was a student.

But I haven’t been able to go yet this year. …. I really want to eat Korean food! So I went to “Gochu”, an authentic Korean restaurant in Yaesu.

The people I went with were familiar members of GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in Yaesu-Nihonbashi-Kyobashi!

It’s Korean food, so we’ll start with makgeolli… but at first we toast with beer!

Did you think I was going to go for makgeolli from the start? This is my second glass of makgeolli!

From the standard samgyeopsal to thick beef tongue and even a hot pot to top it off, we were full! I was very satisfied!

Korean food is the “right” choice for a girls’ night out, and it’s a great way to get drinks going, too.

Nikaido thought, “If I meet someone I want to get to know better, let’s go to a Korean restaurant together!
