Yaesu/Nihonbashi Illumination “TOKYO ILLUMILIA 2025-2026” to be held for approximately 3 months

2025.11.04

The “TOKYO ILLUMILIA” will be held from November 6, 2025 (Thursday) to February 14, 2026 (Saturday), centering on “Nihonbashi Sakura-dori Avenue” that runs from the Yaesu Exit of Tokyo Station to Nihonbashi, and the entire town will be beautifully illuminated.

Launched in 2009, “TOKYO ILLUMILLIA” is an illumination event under the theme of “New Starting Point,” since the Yaesu/Nihonbashi area is the starting point of the Edo period (1603-1868).

The catchphrase for this year’s festival, now in its 17th year, is “Light that leads to the future”. The Yaesu and Nihonbashi area, which still retains the history and atmosphere of Edo, will be dyed in amber with champagne gold LEDs, evoking feelings of nostalgia and brightness for the future. The street lights and Sakura trees will be decorated with additional objects and garlands, and the Nihonbashi Plaza will also be decorated with plants.

The collaboration with Chuo City Joto Elementary School, which was very popular last year, will be held again this year. A collage of illustrations drawn by the students on the theme of “the future” and the TOKYO ILLUMILIA logo will be displayed in front of the Nihonbashi Plaza Building.
