The charm of the Yaesu, Nihonbashi, and Kyobashi area is that you can find delicious food from both Japan and abroad, and you can choose a restaurant according to your purpose and mood. GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in this area, introduces their favorite dishes in this relay series.
Hello, my name is Nikaido! I am Nikaido, a comedian in Yaesu Nihonbashi Kyobashi, in my third year at Yoshimoto Kogyo!
Today, I would like to introduce Nikaido’s activities as a comedian in Yaesu Nihonbashi Kyobashi!
The “YNK” in the title of this media is an acronym for “Yaesu Nihonbashi Kyobashi”.
Nikaido is in Yaesu Nihonbashi Kyobashi, where he hangs out in this YNK area as a comedian, drinking, eating lunch, and hanging out!
Who does Nikaido have drinks and lunch with?” You must have wondered!
That’s right… . we are working with members of GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in the YNK area! There is a “night yorai” where 5-6 GOKINJYO members get together for dinner and a “lunch yorai” where we have lunch and have a good time exchanging information, complaining, and chatting.
Nikaido selects and prepares bento boxes from department stores and other places for the lunchtime meeting, and the other day we purchased a bento box from the famous Nihonbashi restaurant “Taimeiken” at Daimaru Tokyo.
Ta-da! Look at this omelette rice!
It is gorgeous with either gratin or fried shrimp!
This omelette rice has the best of both worlds, with eggs so hoity-toity that it’s hard to believe it’s a bento box, and I’m just too happy.
And, “Where do you want to travel abroad?” What are you going to do on your summer vacation?” After all these exciting conversations, what a surprise!
We got a surprise cake!
Nikaido also has this grinning face!
Daimaru Tokyo, this was the first time I went to buy a box lunch and I was thrilled to see so many varieties!
I’ll definitely go back!
