Kyobashi Marche, a food marché featuring seasonal vegetables, fruits, and local specialties, is now being held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at Tokyo Square Garden, a large complex directly connected to Kyobashi Station.

In the Edo period (1603-1867), Kyobashi was home to a produce market for buying and selling fruits and vegetables, commonly known as “Daikonkashi,” which was long thriving and nurtured Edo’s rich food culture. Inheriting the history and culture of Kyobashi, Kyobashi Marche has been held regularly at Tokyo Square Garden since 2018.

A wide variety of stores, from farm-fresh produce to stores specializing in sweets and honey, open their stalls at each event. The stores often feature unusual ingredients and products that cannot be found in ordinary supermarkets, and the appeal of this event is that you can ask the store owners on the spot for their recommendations on how to eat and preserve their products.

In March 2025, a direct sales stand of agricultural products from Tawarayama Hot Springs in Yamaguchi Prefecture opened in conjunction with the exhibition “A Journey to Meet Someone’s Hometown 02: Yamaguchi Prefecture Photo Exhibition”. Confiture made from Yamaguchi’s original aromatic citrus “Yuzukichi” and hand-picked wild herb tea were on display, attracting many visitors.

In April, the event will be held on Tuesday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 15. The annual schedule is also posted on the official website.
