Free distribution of 10,000 gerberas. Flower Event “Meet with Flowers in TOKYO YNK 2025” to be held in YNK area

“Meet with Flowers in TOKYO YNK 2025,” a floral event in which the Yaesu, Nihonbashi, and Kyobashi areas (commonly known as the YNK area) will be decorated with flowers, will be held from March 19 (Wednesday) to April 6 (Sunday), 2025.

The YNK area, where horticultural culture took root in the Edo period (1603-1867). This event started in 2021 to encourage office workers and visitors to the town to encounter flowers again and experience the joy of loving and nurturing them. This year, the 5th event, a variety of flower-related events will be held at 12 locations in the YNK area.

The main event is the free distribution of cut flowers. About 10,000 gerberas, which have the word “hope” in their language, will be distributed at a total of 10 locations in the YNK area.

In addition, floral objet d’art were exhibited in various locations. At Tokyo Square Garden, 15 artists and groups showcased their unique works. At the Tokyo Tatemono Nihonbashi Building, contemporary flower arrangement artist Saiho Ohzono, winner of the 2024 Sogetsu Prize for Excellence, will exhibit works inspired by the YNK land.

Haruka Koharu, a popular photographer with 240,000 followers on Instagram, who also took the key visual photograph for this event, will hold her first solo exhibition, “Colors in Bloom”. The exhibition will be held from March 10 (Mon.) to April 2, 2025 (*Closed on weekends and holidays).
