The charm of the Yaesu, Nihonbashi, and Kyobashi area is that you can find delicious food from both Japan and abroad, and you can choose a restaurant according to your purpose and mood. GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in this area, introduces their favorite dishes in this relay series.
Pâtisserie ease is located in Nihonbashi Kabuto-cho and is popular for its sophisticated cakes created by Chef Keisuke Oyama. The cakes using seasonal fruits are delicious, and I always check their Instagram and visit regularly.
August 2025 I arrived at the store 15 minutes before the 11:00 a.m. opening for the “Peach Tart”. There was already a long line outside the store. The eat-in area (7 seats, 45-minute service) tends to be particularly crowded, so if you want to use the café, it is better to arrive well in advance. Ordering is done on a first-come, must be paid in advance. When your turn comes, you will be called by phone.
On this day, the extra large peach tart I was aiming for was sold out before my eyes, but I was able to order a regular size peach tart. We ordered a drink and the following three cakes.
The chamomile-flavored crème is moderately sweet and harmonizes perfectly with the sweetness of the fresh melon. The crisp, aromatic cream is sure to whet your appetite. The gentle sweetness of this dish is sure to appeal to those who do not like too much sweetness. The fruitiness of the sauce is even richer when served with the optional garnish.
Mango is the star of the show, accented with a julienne of kumquatsun osmanthus. Kinmokusei? What does it taste like? Would it have a peculiar taste? I was worried, but the fragrance of kumquatsina is not so strong, and the combination of the cheesecake base and yuzu-scented white chocolate is very attractive. The subtle scent of kinmokurinoki was a nice accent. Overall, the dish was harmonious and outstandingly satisfying!
You can enjoy the fresh sweetness and aroma of peaches (made from Fuefuki-grown peaches) in this dish. The peach juice overflows when the knife is inserted, and the inside is filled with a custard that is not too sweet. The sweetness of the peaches is enhanced by the custard inside. The tart crust is made with passion fruit and gelée, which provides a balance of sour and sweet tastes. The combination of the crispy dough and the juicy peaches was a magnificent combination.
From popular cakes to baked goods and showcases, all are a feast for the eyes and taste buds. The seasonal cakes in particular are worth a visit.
