As expected from a long-established store, I was impressed by the careful workmanship. Exquisite sushi at “Yoshino Sushi Main Store”

The charm of the Yaesu, Nihonbashi, and Kyobashi area is that you can find delicious food from both Japan and abroad, and you can choose a restaurant according to your purpose and mood. GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in this area, introduces their favorite dishes in this relay series.

Nice to meet you! My name is Sayumi and I am a member of the YNK Women’s Workers Community, GOKINJYO.

I nervously joined my first meeting.

 

We visited Yoshino Sushi main store! The store’s appearance is typical of a long-established store! Just as I was hesitating to enter because of its imposing appearance, a member of GOKINJYO showed up! Let’s go in with our reliable friends!

 

We were shown to a private room on the second floor. It was a lovely room with a magnificent painting of fish. As we introduced ourselves and enjoyed some lively conversation, the course quickly began.

 

First up is not sushi, but a large scallop. The deliciousness of the plump and sweet scallops keeps me excited about the sushi that comes next.

Eight pieces of artistic sushi! On this day, the Edomae sushi included squid, medium fatty tuna, lean fish, greater amberjack, bonito, flounder, Chinese mactra, and dotted gizzard shad.

The sushi rice wasn’t too big, and it was the perfect size for a meal where everyone could talk together.

All the sushi is carefully prepared and very delicious, but the one that deserves special mention is the medium fatty tuna, which was also introduced at the previous OZ mall event, “Moon Viewing Festival”. It melts in my mouth in an instant. And the pleasantly stimulating pickled ginger can be reliable as a rest for chopsticks.

 

Following the crunchy umesuisho and fragrant grilled squid with soy sauce, a la carte sushi was also served as a special treat this time.

In particular, the Japanese omelet has a taste that is hard to find in other restaurants, and it even contains minced shrimp. I would definitely like to try it again. The gorgeous torotaku, the plump and shiny sea urchin and salmon roe were also delicious!

We had a wonderful time talking to the young master, who made time out of his busy schedule, and discussing the outlook for future GOKINJYO events!

 

I’m really looking forward to seeing how it develops as a new third place that is different from everyday life and work! Thank you for inviting me!
