The charm of the Yaesu, Nihonbashi, and Kyobashi area is that you can find delicious food from both Japan and abroad, and you can choose a restaurant according to your purpose and mood. GOKINJYO, a community of women workers in this area, introduces their favorite dishes in this relay series.
I like sword cutting noodles so much that I have registered “sword cutting noodles” in my dictionary, because I love the unique sticky texture of these noodles.
How long have I liked it? As an adult, I no longer remember where I came across it.
I had checked out several places to eat in the Yaesu neighborhood, and today I went to my first restaurant.
Kounan Shuka Xian Toujian Noodles is located in the basement of a building just outside of Takaracho Station.
Order the hot and sour sword noodles with a large serving of pak choi! It was brought to me in no time!
It is good that it comes with an apron!
The soup is rather refreshing, with just the right amount of sourness, not too spicy, and the cabbage is crunchy…I would have preferred it a little spicier…but the noodles are sticky and tasty! I saw that a person was shaving the noodles (robot shaving noodles are also common these days).
I must check the spiciness of the hot and spicy dishes next time.
By the way, I left work early that day so I was able to get in right away, but when I finished eating and left the restaurant, there was quite a line on the stairs.
