TOKYO ILLUMILIA,” where the Yaesu and Nihonbashi areas full of Edo atmosphere will be wrapped in champagne gold lights
2024.11.05
TOKYO ILLUMILIA” will be held from November 6, 2024 (Wednesday) to February 14, 2025 (Friday), marking its 16th year.
TOKYO ILLUMILLIA” started in 2009. The Yaesu and Nihonbashi areas, full of Edo history and atmosphere, are decorated with champagne gold lights, which seem to brighten and soothe the hearts of people on the streets.
The theme is “New Starting Point,” meaning “the beginning of an era” in Edo. In keeping with the design concept of “simple & contrast,” the trees will be decorated with champagne gold as a base color. It will be a pleasure to find snow crystals and other wintery objects.
In addition, this year, a collaboration with Chuo Ward Joto Elementary School has been realized. The panels in front of the Nihonbashi Plaza Building will be designed with illustrations drawn by 29 third-year students of Chuo City Joto Elementary School under the theme of “◯◯ in the future” and filled with hopes for the future.
For about three months, including the year-end and New Year holidays, the Yaesu and Nihonbashi areas will be wrapped in warm lights, creating a different atmosphere from usual. Be sure to visit the fantastic “TOKYO ILLUMILIA.
